Some surrendered LTTE cadres have never seen Sinhalese



Deputy Inspector General Northern Province Nimal Lewke says that 9728 LTTE have surrendered to Army and there are LTTE leaders as well.

They are now detained in four camps. Among them, 1700 are female cadres. DIG Lewke says that various steps such as education programmes are underway to rehabilitate them.



The DIG further said that there were several LTTE cadres that had never seen a single Sinhalese in their life time until they were arrested.
