Photos of LTTE’s last stronghold

These three photos display the present situation in Mullivaikkal, the last stronghold of the LTTE by May 01. They were taken from AP news agency of United States.

The area is considered seven square kilometers. LTTE says that around 100,000 - 120,000 civilians live under their control. Some other pro-LTTE elements say that there are 50,000 civilians. Sri Lanka Army estimates the number some 10,000 to 15,000. Daya Master that surrendered recently says the number of civilians is 10,000.
