KP's assistant arrested overseas - Divaina

Sri Lankan intelligence units have arrested Anandan, who is said to be the assistant to Kumaran Padmanathan alias KP, ‘Divaina’ reports.

The newspaper says in a report that Anandan has revealed information regarding the assassination of foreign minister Lakshman Kadirgamar, interventions during the ceasefire period and activities of pro-LTTE figures Charles Gnanakoon and Jayantha Gnanakoon.

It says the country in which the arrest was made will not be revealed due to security reasons.

Brothers Charles Gnanakoon and Jayantha Gnanakoon currently live in Australia and California, USA respectively.
